Resort Description

Cornwall boasts the longest stretch of coastline in the United Kingdom, making it an ideal beach holiday destination. South Cornwall in particular, is home to some particularly lovely areas, all of which are ideal for a cottage holidays, short breaks, family vacations or park holidays.

The Cornish Riviera stretches from the beautiful Roseland Peninsula through to the ancient village of Lostwithiel. Marked by wide sweeping bays and the occasional secluded cove sheltered by soaring cliffs, the Cornish Riviera offers a wide variety of holiday options.

Try a park holiday or self-catering cottage in the fishing village of Megavissey. A vibrant waterfront lifestyle has developed Megavissey’s twin harbours with quayside pubs and open air cafes. The nearby village of Gorran Haven is also a delight. Walkers will love the many coastal pathways, the beaches are stunning, and gourmands will enjoy the annual Feast Week in June.

Holiday accommodation in and around St Austell Bay, the South West Coastal Path, Charleston and particularly in the resort town Fowey, all have something to offer the holidaymaker – from adrenalin pumping watersports to fully equipped beach resorts, and stunning scenery.

No trip to South Cornwall would be complete without a stay in the United Kingdom’s most westerly point at Land’s End. The imposing granite cliffs are a major landmark from where you can stare out at the sea and look to the Ilse of Scilly.

The Cornish “capital” of Truro is always a drawcard, particularly for shopping – the annual food and drink festival and the markets at Lemon Quay are well worth a visit.

Whether you’d prefer a park holiday in Penzance or a cottage retreat in St Just, or would just like to visit South Cornwall for a short break to visit the famous Eden Project, you’ll be sure to find what you’re looking for.
