Resort Description

The lovely Worcestershire region is home to forests, hills, rivers, orchards, farms, market gardens and natural springs, making it an ideal choice for just about any type of holiday – from short breaks to longer stays.

Hiring a cottage around the distinctive Malvern Hills would provide for an active holiday that could include cycling, walking, horse riding and hang gliding! The waters at Malvern are famed for their regenerative properties and the hydrotherapy centre will provide rest and relaxation.

A spa holiday is also an option in Droitwich. You’ll certainly feel well enough to purchase one of the fine handcrafts from the bustling arts and crafts centre in town. There are also natural springs at Tenbury Wells. Tenbury Wells is ideally located to explore more of the Heart of England, as it sits on the border of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire.

The children in the family may well prefer a holiday cottage in the vibrant inland resort town of Stourport on Severn. Families will also love a park holiday in the Arrow Valley Country Park in Redditch, which offers fishing, cycling, watersports and a children’s play area.

If boating is on your holiday agenda, then consider hiring a cottage or chalet near Bromsgrove and travel on a narrow boat up 217 feet in the 30 canal locks. Or perhaps you’d prefer to drift along the River Avon to Pershore.

Hire a cottage in picturesque Cotswold village of Broadway, and a trip up the Broadway Tower will allow you to view 12 counties, and decide where you’ll head next!

Perhaps it will be to Worcester itself, home to the secrets of Worcestershire Sauce and fine porcelain. Maybe you’ll hire a holiday home in Bewdley, and enjoy its peaceful riverside setting. Wander off to the West Midland Safari and Leisure Park or hop on the steam train between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth.

Other great holiday options include the bustling town of Evesham, or the festivals in Upton upon Severn, exploring the Forest of Wyre, following the Blossom and Vale trails in the Wychaven district, or simply exploring the best that Avon and Teme valleys have to offer.
